DEMTRAIN will be starting on the final phase of the study in the coming months. These involve conducting case studies in six contrasting hospitals. The research team is looking forward to visiting the six hospitals and conducting focus group discussions and interviews with staff.
The DEMTRAIN study will complete its Staff Survey phase at the end of October. Several hospitals have taken part and the response rate has been excellent.
One of the first hospitals to complete the Staff Survey was Sherwood Forest Hospital, part of the Sherwood Forest Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust. Staff members who completed a survey were eligible to receive a £10 Amazon voucher as a token of thanks and recognition of their contribution. In addition, the two individual wards recruited from were presented with a Dementia Clock. The Study team were delighted to learn that the clocks have been well-received and are now in pride of place on the walls of the wards.
