The Work Programme 3 research team is delighted that their Protocol is published in the BMC Trials journal. The title of the paper is: Developing a core outcome set for people living with dementia at home in their neighbourhoods and communities: study protocol for use in the evaluation of non-pharmacological community-based health and social care interventions.
The Neighbourhoods & Dementia team at Lancaster was invited to promote two of their projects at the 2017 Town and Gown event on 7 September in Lancaster Town Hall.
Dr Siobhan Reilly and Dr Faraz Ahmed from the Neighbourhoods & Dementia Work Programme 5 at Lancaster presented preliminary findings on their organisational survey of dementia training in acute hospitals across England at the Alzheimer’s Europe Conference in Berlin (2-4 October 2017). This was also a great opportunity to build on developing an international profile and presence of their study. The next stage involves surveying staff members at 24 acute NHS hospitals in the New Year. The research team wish to thank Garstang Memory Café for their involvement through consultation, to help develop the staff survey tool. Please contact Faraz Ahmed (firstname.lastname@example.org ) for more information.
