There will be a meeting of all our Work Programme leads and our Scientific Advisory Committee members on 22nd January 2016. Each Work Programme will be giving a presentation centred around their specific area of work plus there will be some general discussions around progress, achievements, outputs and impact.
- The first PPI (patient and public involvement) meeting has successfully taken place to review the early stages of this project.
- A software development environment is being trialed and the aim is to test prototype app versions with members of the Deaf community as soon as possible.
- NRES are reviewing our application for ethical approval.
The BDA Deaf Heritage Project launched their digital archive at the British Film Institute (BFI) on 11th November 2015 with funding support from the Neighbourhoods and Dementia Study and the Heritage Lottery Fund. This was a well-attended event which demonstrated the successful digitisation of historical materials belonging to the Deaf community.
